Wilmington, Del., September 28, 2023 — Paul Fowler Jr.’s Intrepid Daydream won the Delaware-bred or certified $100,000 Tax Free Shopping Distaff at Delaware Park today.
With Jevian Toledo aboard, the 4-year-old daughter of Jess’s Daydream recorded a 2 ¾-length victory and retuned $4.40 as the favorite in the field of seven. Late Frost, with Jeiron Barbosa, ran second and it was another 3 ½-lengths farther back to Tappin Joise, with Kevin Gomez, in third. Intrepid Daydream covered the six furlongs in 1:10.08 over a fast-main track.
The Maryland-bred conditioned by Gary Capuano raised her Delaware Park record to four wins and a second from seven starts. Her career record is five wins from eleven starts with earnings of $262,760
