First race post time moved to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 22nd due to the forecast of extreme heat

Wilmington, Del., June 18, 2024 —Due to the forecasted extreme heat in the area, post time for the first race at Delaware Park scheduled for this Saturday, June 22^nd, has been moved up an hour to 11:30 a.m.  There will be approximately a half hour in between each race on the seven race card.

There will be no changes to schedule of the live racing cards for Wednesday, June 19^th and Thursday, June 20^th, with post time for the first race being 12:30 p.m.

2024 Live Racing Dates – Live racing will be conducted on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday weekly format for most of the 2024 meet.  Friday cards will be added to the schedule on the following dates: August 2^nd, August 9^th, September 13^th, September 20^th, September 27^th, October 4^th and October 11^th. Live racing is not scheduled on Thursday, July 11^th.   Closing day for the live racing season is October 12^th.    

For the first time since 2009, the Delaware Handicap will be run on a Sunday. As part of a festival weekend of racing featuring multiple stakes, the $500,000 Grade II filly and mare classic will be run on a special Sunday, July 7^th card.  The $300,000 Grade III Delaware Oaks will be run Saturday, July 6^th.  During the festival weekend, on-track fans will have a chance to win assorted prizes, including the top prize of a $500 wagering ticket, while placing a Delaware Park horse racing wager at any trackside terminal through the Mystery Voucher promotion.
