A Newark man won $1,000,000 at Delaware Park Casino just before the new year.
Delaware Park Casino announced on Jan. 6. that Julius Friedman, “a loyal Delaware Park player,” was awarded $1,000,000 in slot dollars on Dec. 27. The prize was part of a giveaway that capped off a two-month-long celebration of the 30th anniversary of slot machine gaming in Delaware.
Throughout November and December, Delaware Park Casino guests could earn entries into the contest by playing slots and table games using their Player’s Cards. In addition to Friedman, 13 other finalists each left the casino on Dec. 27 with $3,000 slot-dollar prizes.
By the end of 2025, Delaware Park Casino saw nearly $100 million in jackpot wins.
