Wilmington, Del., October 17, 2026 — Paul Berube, Karen Linnell and Heather B. Hunter’s Quint’s Brew rallied from off the pace to win the $100,000 Wilmington Stakes at Delaware Park today.

With Forest Boyce aboard, the 5-year-old son of Mosler notched a neck victory over Boardwalk Jack, with Jorge Vargas Jr. aboard.  It was another neck back to Fire Pit, with Jamie Rodriguez, in third.  Quint’s Brew returned $4.20 as the favorite in the field of eight.  The Delaware- Certified Maryland-bred trained by Edward “Ned” Allard covered the six furlongs in 1:11.82 over a sloppy main track.

“All the credit goes to this horse,” said winning trainer Edward “Ned” Allard.  “This is the kind of horse that makes a trainer.   He has really shown he has another dimension with his running style by coming from behind.  He had me a little worried in the early stages, but once he got rolling on the turn, I felt confident he was going to get there.  Not sure where we will go next.  We are going to see how he comes out of this race, but we have a few options.  He will probably make one more start before we give him some time off.”

Quint’s Brew raised his career record to four wins from 14 starts with earnings of $363,572.
