Quint’s Brew tops Wilmington Stakes this Saturday

Wilmington, Del., October 15, 2026 —Paul Berube, Karen Linnell and Heather Hunter’s Quint’s Brew tops a field of nine in the $100,000 Wilmington Stakes this Saturday. The six-furlong affair for 3-year-olds and upward has been carded as the eighth race with an approximate post time of 4:31 p.m.

In his most recent, the 5-year-old son of Mosler finished second to Book’em Danno in the six furlong $200,000 Mr. Prospector at Monmouth Park on July 17.  Previously, the Maryland-bred trained by Edward “Ned” Allard posted a half length score in the six furlong $100,000 Alapocas Run Stakes at Delaware Park on June 13.  This year, he has also posted three victories in six furlongs stakes at Laurel Park – the restricted Jennings, the restricted Not for Love and the Frank Whitely.  He has a career record of eight wins, five seconds and a third from 15 starts with earnings of $671,740.

“He ran super in the Mr. Prospector and with a little bit of a different trip, I think we could have won that race,” said trainer Edward ‘Ned’ Allard.  “Regardless, he ran a super race against a really nice horse and considering he has run quite a few times this year, I thought a little break would be good for him.  He is training super, doing really well and he is ready to run.  He is also eligible for the Maryland Million, which is a week later, but I would like to keep him at home in Delaware, so he does not have to ship.  We are going to look real hard at race this Saturday.”
