Wilmington, Del., July 20, 2026 — Irish Three Racing’s Irish Maxima tops the $150,000 Dashing Beauty Stakes at Delaware Park this Thursday. The six-furlong stakes for fillies and mares has attracted a field of eight.

Irish Maxima has not raced since capturing the one-mile Grade II Ruffian by a length at Belmont at Aqueduct on May 9. Previously, the daughter of Maximus Mischief posted a 6 1/2-length victory in a seven-furlong overnight at Parx on April 14. In her two other outings this year, both overnights at Aqueduct, the Kentucky-bred trained by John Servis won going seven furlongs on March 21 and ran third at six furlongs. Last year, she posted a record of two wins from five starts, including victories in the seven-furlong Barbara Fritchie at Laurel and the seven-furlong Grade III Distaff at Aqueduct. She has a career record of 11 wins, one second and one third from 18 starts with earnings of $756,318.

The decision to run in the Dashing Beauty Stakes came mostly by circumstance.

“I actually had planned on running her at Colonial,” said trainer John Servis. “I just got off a plane and got a text that the card had been cancelled, so now I am looking at the weather and everything else, but I knew Delaware had this race that fit her as well. We entered thinking this would give us another opportunity if we decided to do something else. We could have run her at Colonial, but after looking at the race at Delaware and the uncertainty with the weather on Saturday, we decided to come to Delaware.”

Servis has been pleased with her leading up to her first race back since May 9.

“I am very happy with her,” Servis said. “She is coming into the race great after having a few months off. She has been a super mare, and it is a pleasure to train her, especially for these owners, who have been great to work with. You really cannot ask for much more from her, winning 11 races from 18 starts, and she brings it almost every time.”

Hugh Robertson’s Kelly’s Girl could be peaking at the right time. In her most recent start, the daughter of Three Hour Nap was a sharp second in a six-furlong overnight at Delaware Park on June 17. Previously, the Illinois-bred trained by McLean Robertson posted a 3-length score in a five-and-a-half-furlong overnight at Delaware Park on May 16. She has a career record of four wins, three seconds and three thirds from 13 starts with earnings of $205,065.

“She has good speed and she tries hard,” said trainer McLean Robertson. “We started her at Hawthorne, she kept really tough company at Oaklawn and she has been running really well at Delaware, so it makes sense to give her this opportunity against stakes company.”
