Wilmington, Del., September 11, 2026 — London Reid Thoroughbreds and Kismet Thoroughbred Farms’ Martiniwithatwist notched the upset victory in the Delaware bred or certified $125,000 Small Wonder Stakes at Delaware Park today.
With Yedsit Hazlewood aboard, the 2-year-old daughter of Golden Pal, won by a neck and returned $19.60. The Kentucky-bred conditioned by Gary Capuano covered the six furlongs in 1:13.29 over a fast-main track. Olivia’s Legacy, with Paco Lopez, finished second. It was another half-length farther back to U Better Kiss Me, with Jose Batista, in third. The even-money favorite in the field of six, Cha Cha Baby with Mychel Sanchez, finished fifth.
Martiniwithatwist was certified at Marlyn Meadow in Middletown, Delaware.
“This filly has just been getting better and better,” said winning trainer Gary Capuano. “She got a good trip, closed and ran a tremendous race. She has really developed. I think the farther she goes, the better she will be. We are just happy to get this one. This a big one and hopefully she can build off this victory today.”
